Priv. Doz. Dr. Wolfgang Weger

gradu­ated from the Med­ic­al Uni­ver­sity of Graz in 1994. In 2008, Dr. Weger became a cer­ti­fied der­ma­to­lo­gist, mark­ing the end of his res­id­ency, and fur­ther advanced his aca­dem­ic career by achiev­ing Habil­it­a­tion in and join­ing the Uni­ver­sity Clin­ic for Der­ma­to­logy in Graz. Since more than 20 years, he has been act­ively involved in both clin­ic­al and sci­entif­ic activ­it­ies, with a par­tic­u­lar focus on psori­as­is and bio­lo­gic­al ther­apy. Dr. Weger played a cru­cial role in the estab­lish­ment of the Psori­as­is Out­pa­tient Clin­ic at the Uni­ver­sity Clin­ic for Der­ma­to­logy in Graz, where he cur­rently serves as the Deputy Head. In addi­tion to his clin­ic­al and research work, Dr. Weger is today an act­ive mem­ber of the Arbeits­gruppe Bio­lo­gika (Bio­lo­gics Work­ing Group) of the Aus­tri­an Soci­ety for Der­ma­to­logy & Venere­ology (ÖGDV) which he chaired from 2014 – 2015. For years, he has been instru­ment­al in the devel­op­ment and advance­ment of the Psori­as­is Registry Aus­tria (PsoRA), reflect­ing his com­mit­ment to advan­cing the field. Dr. Weger­’s ded­ic­a­tion to patient-cent­ric Psori­as­is treat­ments is fur­ther evid­ent in his role as invest­ig­at­or in mul­tiple phase IIV clin­ic­al tri­als and his focus on hol­ist­ic well-being sets a stand­ard for com­pas­sion­ate and com­pre­hens­ive care in der­ma­to­logy. He con­trib­uted to mul­tiple pub­lic­a­tions in nation­al and inter­na­tion­al journals.
